Why should I use VibraJect? Many patients are very uncomfortable with the feel of the needle penetrating their gums. This number is far more than you realize as they have conditioned themselves to expect this feeling and do not relay this information to the practitioner. The injection is the #1 fear of most patients. Patients are so relieved after they experience the pain-free VibraJect, they tell their friends and relatives about it, thus VibraJect is a very effective practice builder. How do I attach VibraJect? Snap the VibraJect clip bracket anywhere onto the back of the barrel of your syringe so that the carpule is visible and untouched by the clip. Next, slide the motor cartridge into the top of the clip bracket, rotating and pushing the cartridge until it is fully seated. Does it matter where the clip attaches to the syringe? The clip bracket may be positioned anywhere along the barrel of the syringe as long as it does not cover or touch the carpule. Placement of the clip bracket in relation to the needle will not affect VibraJect's effectiveness. How do I use VibraJect? Before administering any injection, turn VibraJect on by rotating the black control knob (located at the top of the motor cartridge) clockwise. Then simply use your routine technique to perform the injection. When finished, turn VibraJect off by rotating the control knob counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn. You may want to pre-condition your patients by informing them that they will feel a slight vibration during the injection. Do I still need to use a topical anesthetic? It is not necessary to use a topical anesthetic when using VibraJect. The product was designed to effectively reduce pain without having to numb the injection area first. Can I use VibraJect for all dental injections? VibraJect can be used during all types of dental injections. It is particularly effective in relieving the pain experienced with palatal, mandibular block, infiltration and intraligamental injections. Can I use VibraJect on all of my patients? Since you can not predict which patients will feel pain, it is recommended that VibraJect be used on all patients of all ages. It can be especially useful when giving injections to children. Alleviating their pain now will help reduce their fear of injections and increase their comfort level during future dentist visits. Patients who typically do not feel pain when injected may not notice a difference when VibraJect is used. Is VibraJect autoclavable? Only the clip bracket is autoclavable and was designed to remain attached to the syringe during the sterilization process. The motor cartridge cannot be heat sterilized. Can I use VibraJect with the CompuDent® Wand? Combining the VibraJect with the Wand produces a totally pain-free injection, even with small children. It also reduces the time required for the injection with just the Wand, a common complaint of both doctor and patient. Order special syringe clip #VJCBW. How do I clean the motor cartridge? To clean the motor cartridge, use an alcohol wipe or disinfecting solution such as Cavicide, Birex or Lysol. Never submerge the motor cartridge into any liquid (like bleach or gluteraldehyde). How long do the batteries last? VibraJect uses 1.5 volt button-type batteries, which last for approximately 50 to 75 injections. You can purchase replacement batteries (part #VJB10 for a package of 10) from VibraJect LLC, or at local drugstores or mass merchandisers. What is the warranty on VibraJect? VibraJect LLC offers a thirty day money back satisfaction guarantee. The unit itself is warranted for six months from the date of purchase. How do I order VibraJect?
